Charoen Pokphand Groups CSR Project in Collaboration with the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources Region 2: Mangrove Planting in Si Racha
On February 1, 2024, the terrestrial animal health business under Charoen Pokphand Group organized a CSR initiative in collaboration with the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources Region 2 to carry out a mangrove reforestation project in Si Racha District, Chonburi Province. As part of the project, 120 mangrove saplings (Rhizophora species) were planted to help restore and conserve the provinces vital coastal mangrove ecosystem.
Mangrove reforestation plays a crucial role in preventing coastal erosion, mitigating climate change, and fostering a sustainable ecosystem. Beyond environmental conservation, this initiative also reflects Charoen Pokphand Groups commitment to corporate social and environmental responsibility. By collaborating with government agencies, the project aims to raise awareness and encourage active participation in the preservation of natural resources.
Executives and employees from the terrestrial animal health business unit actively participated in the mangrove planting activity with dedication and a strong commitment to fostering a sustainable society. Personnel from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources Region 2 were also present to provide knowledge and guidance on proper mangrove forest conservation practices.
This project stands as another example of how corporate engagement in environmental initiatives can contribute to a new dimension of sustainable development and social responsibility. It not only supports nature conservation but also fosters unity and instills a spirit of environmental care and awareness among employees.
